184. The Death of Lindsey Graham- There is No Red or Blue, Only Imperial Purple

When things get desperate enough for the Working Class, Democrats are allowed to pass social welfare programs as a counter revolutionary pressure release valve like the proposed one-time billionaire wealth tax in California. It is the reformist illusion of progress while eventually, as the national security state solidifies itself and hunter killer AI packages have work their way into the drones of your local police department, there will be no more social programs. Social Security will expire, most homes, agricultural lands, natural resources will be monopolized by private equity which donates equally to both parties, and there will never, ever be universal basic income. But hey, at least you voted for the “lesser of two evils” and you can blame those independent swine for not voting “blue no matter who” and destroying your future. But the horrifying truth is that there is no red or blue - only imperial purple and you, peasant, do not wear the purple - only the caesars, our modern day billionaires and captains of industry.
