Colonial elites wanted to expand west beyond Appalachia while the British imperialists, concerned with the maintenance of Empire, did not have the patience to fight another costly frontier war that would gain them little.

It’s also to learn that if the British prosecuted the war the colonists did against the indigenous tribes, or how they prosecuted campaigns in Africa or India, which were inherently g-sidal - there would be no United States.

But you can’t biological warfare, mass starve, and immolate your third cousins and return to London society with martial honor. Because the colonists were humans. The First Nations, the Africans, the peoples of Hindustan, were not.

So when conservatives adjacent to the Palestine movement say - we’ve been Israelified. This isn’t who we are, we’re occupied. What do you mean - this has always been what we’ve done. The mask off of the Trump administration is simply us coming back to ourselves minus all the post-Vietnam civil rights window dressing.

The “State of the Force” address is important because it serves as the defense leadership’s primary annual platform to announce sweeping structural reforms, outline strategic defense initiatives, and signal cultural or operational shifts across the U.S. military. And JFC this one is insane.

  • Leadership and Personnel Cuts: Directives implementing a 20% reduction across general and admiral ranks to drive accountability. Rank creep has been a long-standing issue of debate in the US military. There are too many general officers but is this also a ploy to conduct an ideological purge?

In this episode of Colonial Outcasts we go inside the isolated and near-invisible world of US women’s prisons with former defense attorney and photojournalist Sarah Bennet.

She is the author of “Looking Inside: Women with Life Sentences,” a long-term photographic project about women convicted of homicide and sentenced to life in New York State. The book follows them inside prison, after release, and in everyday life afterward, using portraits plus personal materials like letters, drawings, Polaroids, and handwritten notes to show that they are more than the crime that led to their sentences. The project resists stereotypes and asks readers to consider how punishment, memory, identity, and rehabilitation shape a life over decades.
